The Wyoming Business Council board will review projects totaling $6.5 million at a meeting Thursday in Torrington.
Albany County has requested a $1.5 million Community Facilities grant for building renovations at the Lincoln Community center. Donations and in-kind matches will total $301,168.
Mountain View wants a $1,666,462 Business Ready grant to construct a building for the Valley Children's Center. The community match will be $201,425.
Evansville has requested a $1,495,375 Community Facilities grant to renovate and expand a former maintenance building into a community center. Donations and in-kind matches will total $255,597.
Two projects for Baggs will be discussed. The Valley Community Center Joint Powers Board wants a $1.5 million Community Facilities grant and a $302,659 Business Ready Community grant to help fund the development of a recreation, meeting and training center located in Baggs. Donations and in-kind matches will total over $1 million.
The board also will review the Wyoming Business Council's business plan and hear updates from the Agribusiness Division, Wyoming Rural Development Council/Main Street Division, and the Business and Industry Division.
Thursday's public meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Rendezvous Center, Goshen County Fairgrounds in Torrington.
