A group of Casper investors has purchased the local CEMEX concrete precast plant at 725 Bryan Stock Trail.
Casper businessman Rich Fairservis said all employees will be retained by the newly minted Concrete Products of Wyoming Co.
The new owners are making plans for a state-of-the-art facility that will include concrete pipe, pre-cast products and tilt-up products, according to Fairservis.
A new 40,000-square-foot manufacturing plant is being planned for the 150-acre Bar Nunn Business Park. It is expected to cost more than $7 million.
Fairservis said Rinker Materials, an Australian company, bought Wyoming Concrete Products in 2005. CEMEX then bought Rinker Materials in 2007 for $3 billion.
CEMEX is a global building materials company. It sells cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates and similar products in more than 50 countries.
CEMEX subsequently sold several former Rinker locations, Fairservis said, including the one in Casper.
