Jonah Bank of Wyoming will open new branches in Cheyenne and Casper, said company president Mark Zaback.
The new Cheyenne facility will include drive-up banking and "good access" for customers. The current Cheyenne location, which is small for a full-service facility, was never intended to be a permanent building for the bank, Zaback said. The company has yet to decide whether the current building will be completely replaced or will remain as a secondary location.
Zaback said the Cheyenne building will be finished and open before another Casper branch is begun.
"We are going to be putting up a sign on the east side (of Casper) location that says 'Future home of Jonah Bank,' and we're eventually going to build there," Zaback said.
But, he added, the sign will stand in place of a new facility for at least a couple of years before any building begins.
"If we continue to see good growth, we'll need a second location," he said. "We're excited to be going over to the east side of town so we can have two locations for our customers."
The state-chartered financial institution, primarily owned by Mick McMurry and John Martin, has roughly 30 total investors, including bank employees.
The bank opened in July 2006 in Casper, and the current Cheyenne branch opened as a full-service facility in November of that year.
