Jonah Bank of Wyoming is expanding its reach in both Casper and Cheyenne.
Bank President Mark Zaback said the firm has new branch facilities in the works for both communities.
The new Casper branch will be located at 2nd and Walsh on the eastside of town in what formerly was a State Farm claims building.
Zaback said a drive-up will be constructed and additional renovations with result in more office space. The project is about to go out for bids, and Zaback hopes the branch will open in the fall.
"We're just out of space at our present location," he said. The main bank facility in Casper is at 777 West 1st St.
Zaback said the new Cheyenne branch is scheduled for completion in July. It will be a two-story building with three drive-ups owned by Jonah Bank. The second floor will be available for tenants.
"We really think with these two additions, it will allow us to service both communities without needing additional facilities for quite awhile," he said.
Despite the national recession and a slowing state economy, Zaback said the banking business has remained good. Home financing and refinancing are still positive and "we haven't seen a noticeable change on loan demand on the commercial side either," he said.
