The Casper College men’s basketball team saw its season come to an end Friday with a 62-60 loss to No. 13 Gillette College in the semifinals of the Region IX tournament.

The Thunderbirds (23-9) trailed just 32-29 at the half, but the Pronghorns used a 49-34 scoring advantage in the second half to eliminate Casper College for the second year in a row.

Sophomore point guard Deate Strickland led the T-Birds with 18 points and six assists. Also scoring in double figures were Josh McSwiggan (14), Jackson Stent (11) and Don Jarrett Jr. (10).
