“Jesus -- Plain and Direct,” a stimulating new exploration series, will be launched on Sunday, Jan. 7, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Paradise Valley, following the 9:30 a.m. worship service. The series is on the first and third Sundays of the month, and is for those who call themselves true believers, sinners, saints, skeptics, atheists, or those burned by the Christian religion.

This will be no lecture series, or attempt at indoctrination. Led by Pastor Jack, the bi-monthly classes will be open-ended group discussions, where views are respected, and each person has a chance to share insights on who Jesus was, what Jesus means in today’s complex societies, and what that means to them.

The classes begin at 10:45 a.m., following worship. Good Shepherd Lutheran is located at 51 Primrose Street, behind Shepherd of the Valley Healthcare Community, and adjacent to the Paradise Valley Country Club. For more information on the church, visit the website at goodshepherdlutheranchurch.biz.
