The Wagners present the fourth annual Halloween light show at their house, 3148 Whispering Springs, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Casper restaurants go pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI) has put together events around the state to raise awareness and raise funds for Wyoming breast cancer programs.

Volunteers with WBCI have organized a statewide Paint Wyoming Pink Restaurant Week event. Each night of the week will feature a different local restaurant. Restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds from their evening event to WBCI. Funds are granted to breast cancer programs across the state.

Casper participating restaurants include: Thursday, Oct. 12, The Gaslight Social; Saturday, Oct. 14, Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant.

Casper Stammtisch goes monthly

The Casper Stammtisch, a group interested in German-American heritage, the German language, and fun discussions in both languages invites you to join the following events this fall:

Thursday no-host monthly meetings: Oct. 12, and Nov. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at The Office restaurant, 520 S. Ash St.

Weihnachtsfest (Christmas potluck party): Sunday, Dec. 3 at 4:30 p.m. at the Isaac Walton Clubhouse near Ft. Caspar. Potluck snacks and dinner, a raffle, and singing German Christmas carols.

Beekeepers meet

Join area beekeepers to learn about bees and share your successes and failures with fellow bee enthusiasts. Natrona County Beekeepers Association will meet at 7 p.m. in the basement of the College Heights Baptist Church, 600 W. 21st St.

Pumpkins for a purpose

Come Join Meals On Wheels for our third annual pumpkin patch at the Meals on Wheels Building, 1760 E. 12th St. Pumpkin sales continue through Oct. 31. All pumpkins are Wyoming grown.

Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pumpkins will be $5 for a small, $10 for a medium and $15 for a large. Specialty pumpkins will be available in limited quantities. Come purchase your Pumpkins for a Purpose and help fight senior hunger.
