Free tax assistance has new location

The Natrona County VITA Program, a United Way of Natrona County initiative, runs Tuesday through Saturday through April 12, 2018. The hours are Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The service is closed Sunday and Monday. The new location is 350 Big Horn in Casper, located off of Poplar Street close to I-25. This is a first come first served program, no appointments will be scheduled. Individuals must bring their social security card, photo identification and the appropriate paperwork with them. For a complete listing of required paperwork, please visit the website listed below. The initiative is supported by funding from the Wyoming Free Tax Service and United Way of Natrona County.

Stammtisch at City Brew

The Casper German Stammtisch, a group that has met for 15 years and is interested in German-American heritage, the German language, history, culture and fun discussions in both English and German invites you to join the following event: Kaffeestunde (German language for all levels), a monthly no-host gathering to enjoy speaking German together, 3 p.m. at City Brew west side.

Intermediate knitting, crochet

Want to improve your basic knitting or crochet skills? Register for the Intermediate Knitting & Crochet class at the Casper Recreation Center beginning Tuesday.

Join Nancy Pawlowski and learn more about reading patterns in the six-week class that meets Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Students will work on a sampler pattern to increase skills and knowledge in either knitting or crochet. Knowledge of the basics is required and participants will need to bring paper, pen, yarn and either crochet hooks or knitting needles to the first class. Fee for the class is $68 for non-members and $56 for those with a Recreation Center pass.

Reserve for Saturday family event

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church invites families to explore the great surprise at 10 a.m. on Saturday. This fun Easter event will be hosted at Prince of Peace. The 1 1/2 to 2-hour adventure lets kids and their families experience a variety of fun, hands-on activities that are packed with surprises — all while learning about Jesus.
