Fried chicken at the Elks

Wednesday Night Special at the Casper Elks Lodge is fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and corn. All you can eat for $7, children 5 to 12 are $3, serving from 6 to 7 p.m. or until gone. Members, significant other and guest accompanied by a member. For more information, call 234-4839.

Show and food drive at Metro

Mastermind of Monkey is doing a show and food drive at Metro Coffee Co. from 6 to 9 p.m. Food will be collected at the show for Wyoming Food For Thought Project. Details and suggested donations are in the event, events/500598030339970 /?ti=icl.

Compassionate Friends set candle lighting event

The Central Wyoming Chapter of the Compassionate Friends, a non-profit, self-help support organization for parents who are grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause, will have its annual December Candle Lighting Ceremony meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. We will meet at the Natrona County Public Library in the Crawford Room in the library’s basement. You may bring a picture of your loved one. Also, if you would like, please bring a treat to share after the ceremony.

Gold prospectors plan party

The Casper Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America will have its Holiday Party at 7 p.m., at the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Building, 2211 King Blvd. Enter through the east door. Members and guests are welcome. Dinner will be potluck style so be sure to bring a dish to share. We will also have a gift exchange, bring a gift to receive a gift, $10 max limit on the gift. The club will also be giving away some prospecting related items as well.
