Heaven got a little brighter on January 1, 2018 when Gloria Jean Shore, age 67, of Casper, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born October 22, 1950 in Murray, Utah to Arthur and Mary Vigil. On February 27, 1982, she married the love of her life, John Shore.
She loved her profession as a cosmetologist, she was very passionate about making her clients beautiful. She owned Hair East Designs for 39 successful years. She fought her quiet battle with cancer for over four years, she was such a warrior that many never knew she was ill. Gloria was a proud mother of three beautiful daughters. She enjoyed bowling in a league with her friends, spending her summers at Alcova, and traveling to her Lake Havasu, Arizona home.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Vigil. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, John Shore; mother, Mary Vigil; daughters, Missy (Rob) Norton, LeAnn Thompson, Cassie (Kristian) Shore-Fasching; two brothers; four sisters; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. until the beginning of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Casper Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Highland Cemetery.
