CHEYENNE - The state spent $60,000 flying Gov. Dave Freudenthal and his staff on state business both in and outside of Wyoming in the first six months of this year.
Freudenthal's office released a report on Friday detailing the governor's use of state-owned airplanes for official travel.
Among the more expensive trips were an $11,000 trip to Washington, D.C., this March during which Freudenthal met with the U.S. Secretary of Energy and other top officials.
Another Washington, D.C., trip in March during which Freudenthal met with EPA officials cost more than $9,000.
Freudenthal's office regularly releases an inventory of his trips on state-owned aircraft.
