The chief executive officer of the new neurosurgical hospital has resigned just one month after the hospital started seeing patients, an official said.
Ed Renemans' last day at Mountain View Regional Hospital will be Aug. 1, according to Carolee Brinkman, vice president of operations for National Surgical Hospitals, Inc.
The Chicago-based National Surgical Hospitals partnered with a group of Casper neurosurgeons to build the hospital, which opened June 2.
Renemans is leaving to pursue other career opportunities, Brinkman said. The hospital expects to have a "seamless transition" between Renemans and the next CEO.
"We are grateful for his work the past two years," Brinkman said.
Renemans was the former chief financial officer of the Wyoming Medical Center. He resigned that position in January 2007 after more than 20 years of service to the hospital.
