Converse County prosecutors won't be filing charges against anyone involved in a confrontation where

Glenrock police tased a 76-year-old man riding a tractor in a parade. The county attorney's office announced their decision Monday after reviewing a report by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, which was tasked with determining whether any crimes were committed during the Aug. 1 incident.

"In light of all the circumstances pertaining to the incident, prosecution is not warranted," the county attorney's office said in brief written statement.

DCI agents turned over their report to prosecutors on Friday, almost three weeks after police used a taser on Glenrock resident Bud Grose as he operated an antique trailer in the town's annual Deer Creek Days celebration. Police say Grose repeatedly ignored the orders of the two officers involved in the confrontation.

Many town residents have criticized the officers' actions, arguing they overreacted during the encounter and used more force than necessary.
