RIVERTON - A 6-year-old boy drowned while swimming with a school group at Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis.

Hot Springs County Coroner Clark Mortimore says the boy's name was Carlos Goodman. Mortimore has ruled the boy's death accidental.

Mortimore says an adult swimmer found the boy face-down in the water at the Star Plunge water park around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Attempts to revive the boy failed and he was pronounced dead at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital. The boy had been swimming with a group from the Arapahoe and St. Stephen's schools.
