Democratic incumbent Lori Millin of Cheyenne won a close race with Republican Bob Nicholas on Tuesday in House District 8.
Unofficially, Millin had 2,438 votes, or 52 percent. Nicholas had 2,271 votes, or 48 percent.
Millin, a 39-year-old surgical assistant, is married to John Millin, the chairman of the Wyoming Democratic Party.
Nicholas, 51, is an attorney and businessman with no previoius political experience. He is the brother of Sen. Phil Nicholas, a Laramie Republican and co-chairman of the Joint Appropriations Committee.
A story in today's Star-Tribune incorrectly reported the winner in the HD 8 race.
The Star-Tribune regrets the error.
