CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The trial of a tax-evading couple accused of booby-trapping their New Hampshire property to harm federal agents during a 2007 standoff has gone to the jury.

Ed and Elaine Brown face weapons and conspiracy charges after holing up in their fortress-like home in Plainfield for nine months in 2007 after being convicted of tax evasion.

In closing arguments Wednesday, Ed Brown's lawyer said his client was not trying to break any laws and was just trying to live.

Prosecutor Arnold Huftalen said Brown wanted to live only his way and would have killed anyone who didn't let him.

A federal jury in Concord got the case Wednesday afternoon.
