CHEYENNE-A legislative panel will consider ways to boost state highway maintenance funding when it meets in Douglas this week.
The Legislature's Joint Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs Interim Committee is considering a proposal to increase the flow mineral severance tax dollars into state highway maintenance accounts.
The committee will also discuss funding for multi-lane highways, and it will get an update on a study of the feasibility of tolling trucks on Interstate 80.
The meetings, at the Wyoming State Fair Park Reno Building, begin at 8:30 a.m. today and 8 a.m. Thursday. Wednesday's meeting also includes a tour of the Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center in Platte County.
