CHEYENNE - Gov. Dave Freudenthal has named a longtime commissioner for the Third Judicial District Court and a former municipal judge to the Ninth Judicial District Court bench in southwest Wyoming.
Marvin Tyler of Green River says it's an honor to be named to the district court judgeship.
Tyler has served as a commissioner for the Third Judicial District since 1983, and was commissioner for the Sweetwater County Court from 1983 to 2001.
Tyler has spent most of his life in Wyoming, graduating from Rock Springs High School and then earning his associate's degree from Western Wyoming Community College and his law degree from the University of Wyoming.
