LARAMIE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is planning a series of public meetings on proposals for this year's hunting seasons for big, small and upland game.

The fall 2009 and spring 2010 turkey seasons also will be discussed.

The meetings will be March 23 in Wheatland and Rawlins, March 24 in Torrington, March 25 in Saratoga and Lusk, March 26 in Laramie, March 30 in Douglas and April 1 in Cheyenne.

Terry Creekmore is wildlife management coordinator for the Laramie region. He says the purpose of the meetings is to hear the public's thoughts on the upcoming hunting seasons.

Creekmore says the department also will review written comments that are submitted at the meetings.
