CHEYENNE - A second Carbon County resident died from hantavirus in the last week, the Wyoming Department of Health reported today.
Preliminary test results point to the virus as the cause of death of the unnamed Carbon County woman, the agency said in a press release. Hantavirus also killed a Carbon County man last week.
"This is the second Wyoming case with this disease
There have been eight cases of hantavirus in Wyoming since 2000, with half resulting in death.
