SOLEDAD, Calif. (AP) - At least two people have died in a tour bus crash at a highway overpass in the central California city of Soledad.
The California Highway Patrol says dozens more people were injured in the crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 101.
CHP spokeswoman Officer Erica Elias says there are "multiple fatalities" but she did not have a specific number or any other details. Ambulances and helicopters were on the way and the highway was been shut down in both directions.
Adrienne Laurent, a spokeswoman for the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, says the facility had so far received three patients - all in critical condition - from the crash. She says the hospital has been told to expect more patients.
Soledad is about 70 miles southeast of San Jose.
