Event benefits Salvation Army
A benefit concert for The Salvation Army will be held at 8 p.m. on Dec. 6 at Metro Coffee Company, 241 S. David, according to a release.
Anastasia's Fault and Bosco Land will perform. The $3 cover charge will be donated by Anastasia's Fault, and Metro will also donate proceeds from drink sales to The Salvation Army.
Canned and boxed food and toys will also be accepted.

Teacher receives distinguished service award
Patricia Johnson, Dean Morgan Junior High family and consumer science teacher, will receive the National Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences Distinguished Service Award during a convention on Dec. 5 in Charlotte, N.C., according to a release.
Johnson has taught in the Natrona County School District since 1972. She currently serves as Department Chair for the Career and Technical Education Department at Dean Morgan. She has been active in NATFACS for 32 years at the local, state and national levels.
Graphic designer displays works
The works of June Roys, Casper College graphic art instructor, are now on display in the Goodstein Gallery, located in the Goodstein Visual Arts Center, according to a release.
The show "Contemporary Works" will run through Dec. 18, and is free and open to the public.
The Casper College Goodstein Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Help Wanted: County board spots
The Natrona County Commission is seeking volunteers to serve on several boards: Natrona County Airport Board, Citizens Transportation Advisory Commission, Central Wyoming Fair Board, Predator Management District of Natrona County, and Natrona County Weed and Pest.
Interested people need to submit a letter of interest to: Office of the Natrona County Commissioners, 200 N. Center St., Room 115, Casper, 82601.
Current board members, who are eligible for reappointment, may also submit letters.
The deadline is 5 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Schaff is Mrs. Central Wyoming
Tricia Schaff was named Mrs. Central Wyoming and will represent the area at the state pageant on May 30 in Cheyenne, according to a release.
The winner of the state pageant will receive prizes valued at more than $8,000 and advance to the Mrs. America pageant.

Nic at Noon features Coryell
Tom Coryell, with Bob Sellers, will be featured Dec. 5 in the lobby of the Nicolaysen Art Museum & Discovery Center when the museum holds Nic at Noon, according to a release.
Nic at Noon is the museum's informal, monthly concert series where visitors are invited to bring in their lunch and hear performances by local musicians from noon to 1 p.m. There is no admission charge.

Tickets remain for Madrigal Feaste
Tickets are still available for the 14th annual Casper College Madrigal Feaste for the Dec. 4 and 10 performances, according to a release.
This year's production, "The Quest for the Holy Quail" will be held in the Black Box Theatre, located in the Gertrude Krampert Theatre Complex. Seating in the Black Box Theatre has allowed the college to increase seating by 20 seats for each performance.
Tickets are $45 per person, with $20 of that amount as a tax-deductible donation to the Casper College Fine Arts Endowment.
