A contract worker was injured this morning at the Dave Johnston power plant east of Glenrock, according to Rocky Mountain Power, which owns and operates the coal-fired power plant.
The worker, who is employed by TIC Wyoming Inc., was caught between a "man-lift" and a section of steel. The accident happened about 10 a.m. He was transferred to a hospital in Casper.
TIC Wyoming Inc. confirmed the information, and said the injury was minor.
"The employee did sustain a minor injury but it was not serious," said Gary Bennett, corporate relations director for TIC Holdings.
Bennett said there was a call for Life Flight to transport the injured employee, but said the call was not necessary. He said Life Flight did not make the transport.
"It wasn't a serious injury. It's not a big deal at all," Bennett said.
TIC is installing equipment to improve the plant's emission control system, according to Rocky Mountain Power.
