Casper College will offer classes for three new programs beginning in the fall - entrepreneurship, leadership and organizational management, and Web development.

"Our business division is under new leadership, and with this change, the division has begun to revitalize the programs and curricula housed within," said Carmen Simone, the school's vice president for academic affairs, in a school release.

Completion of the programs will result in an associate of applied science degree in that program.

Two courses have been added to accommodate the entrepreneurship program: cost accounting and entrepreneurial finance. The program is designed for students who plan on owning or operating new businesses or improving operations at existing businesses.

"By offering this program, our students will have the opportunity to build a strong business by learning how to manage others, promote a product or service and remain in business as the economy changes," Simone said.

The leadership and organization management program aims to prepare students for leadership roles. Three new courses will supplement the program - conflict management, leading organizational change, and organizational behavior.

"For working adults, a degree in leadership and organizational management can open up opportunities for promotion, advancement or entrepreneurship," Simone said.

The Web development program includes the addition of two courses - introduction to HTML and DHTML and introduction to ASP.NET. It aims to provide students with essential skills for existing and aspiring information technology professionals.

"By offering this program, our students will have the opportunity to enjoy the rewarding career options that Web development skills provide," said Simone.
