Exchange students need homes
The Natrona County School District is looking for hosts for six exchange students.
The students include two boys from Venezuela, boys from Brazil and Colombia, and girls from Germany and Venezuela.

3-on-3 hockey returns
The Casper Ice Arena will host fall 3-on-3 hockey for skaters ages 7 and older. Players are asked to register by their birth year, and groups will be set according to current USA Hockey age classifications for the 2008-09 season. Full hockey gear is required.
All sessions will be held at the ice arena on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, starting Aug. 12 and running through Sept. 18. All divisions will be non-check and supervised at all times.

City hosts 37th Pet Parade
The city's Recreation Division will host its 37th Pet Parade at 6 p.m. on Aug. 7 at Highland Park. Registration is free and begins at 5:30 p.m.
Although the Pet Parade has traditionally been an event for youth under the age of 15, an additional category for participants 15 years old and over has been added this year.
Judged categories include biggest pet, smallest pet, pet with the floppiest ears, and pet with the shortest legs. Participants will receive category awards or a goody bag, and there will also be grand prize winners for one boy and one girl.

Presto performs at the library
Presto the Magician will perform at 2 p.m. Wednesday and at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Natrona County Library to end the library's summer reading program. Presto will also perform at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Bob Goff Memorial Library in Mills.
Children can turn in their completed reading logs before or after the events to win prizes for the reading they've done this summer. The last day to turn in reading logs is Aug. 1.
