The city of Casper and outlying towns are asking residents to complete an online survey to aid in its long-term planning efforts.
The "2020 Vision: See YOUR Future!" report is being compiled and designed with input from residents and different local governments.
"We are embarking on creating a new vision for the Casper community," Casper Community Development Director April Getchius said while unveiling the effort last month. "It's the policy document that directs land use and growth decisions and quality of life decisions far into the future."
The report will examine core areas of development over the next decade, including public health, education, the local economy, growth policies, transportation, housing and water.
The city held four meetings in September to discuss various growth issues, and the survey is part of the city's outreach effort.
The survey is available online at www.2020visionseeyourfuture.com. It includes 34 questions about the city and another 11 seeking the respondent's demographical information. The Web site asks residents to respond before Nov. 20.
The entire process -- draft plans, surveys and outreach efforts -- should be completed around this time next year.
