Food bank receives donation

Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies opened its fundraising campaign, "Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen (or so) Donors" with a $5,000 donation from EnCana Oil & Gas Inc., the first of 16 donations the food bank is hoping to secure to retire its current lease on a refrigerated semi-trailer.

The campaign's $80,000 goal will enable the food bank to allocate funds currently used to pay for the lease toward providing food to those in need, according to a release.

"Transportation of food is a key element in making a difference in the lives of hungry Wyoming citizens," said Diane DeLozier, WFBR director.

For more information or to make a donation, contact DeLozier at (877) 265.2172 or {M7ddelozier@foodbankrockies.org.
