Court finds habitual offender guilty

A Casper man with more than 30 warrants served on him in the past 15 years was found guilty after a September police chase.

Mark Donald Tuttle, 32, was found guilty on five counts including unlawfully entering a building, eluding a police officer and possessing a controlled substance.

On Sept. 8, 2007, Tuttle sped a stolen 2002 Yamaha Enduro through traffic for 23 minutes in the Fort Caspar and CY Avenue area, according to a police affidavit.

Tuttle did not stop for a police officer. During the pursuit, Tuttle ran approximately 20 stop signs, six red lights and also drove through six front yards, the affidavit stated. An "inestimable" number of vehicles had to veer off the road to avoid being hit by Tuttle.

Several counts were also dismissed by the Natrona County District Court, including causing bodily injury to another person, recklessly driving a vehicle and destroying property.
