Jury convicts man on child porn charges
A federal jury in Cheyenne convicted Nathaniel Solon, of Casper, of possession and receipt of child pornography earlier this week.
Solon's sentencing has not yet been scheduled, but he faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison, and fines up to $500,000.
Solon's case was part of an ongoing investigation related to online child pornography and conducted by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's office in Cheyenne.
That investigation led authorities to a computer in Casper that was offering to share child pornography with other computer users on a file sharing network.
DCI agents seized computer equipment while executing a search warrant at Solon's residence in September 2006.
The trial began on Nov. 3 and the jury reached its verdict on Monday.
