City adopts logo for OYD
The city's Urban Renewal Division recently announced the selection of the logo for the Old Yellowstone District redevelopment area, according to a release.
The logo design, prepared by Adbay.com in consultation with the city's Smart Growth committee, aims to attract "existing and new property owners to 'create their own history' in the Old Yellowstone District."
The new logo design will be a major component in the OYD's branding and recruitment campaign. Although the formal name of the Old Yellowstone District will remain the same, branding the district as the OYD and moving to a shorter name creates an identity that is more recognizable and memorable in the marketplace.
"We think it is important to acknowledge that effort in a way that connects the OYD's development opportunities to our city's unique downtown strengths and historical presence," said Mayor Paul C. Bertoglio in the release.
