The Wyoming Distance Education Consortium recently named physics and education instructor Paul Marquard as the recipient of the Master Distance Educator award for Casper College, according to a news release.
Lois Davis, dean of educational services at Casper College, nominated Marquard.
"Now that he is back in the classroom, he continues to challenge himself by learning new technology and course management systems to use online and in the classroom," Davis said.
Marquard has been with Casper College since 1986 and has been a technology/online faculty innovator at Casper College since in 1997. He held the position of Director of Distance Education at Casper College from 2001 to 2007 when he returned to full-time teaching.
Marquard holds degrees from Creighton, Nebraska-Lincoln and Southern California.
Susan Nelson, mathematics instructor, was recognized last year.
