Work begins on Interstate 25
Sections of Interstate 25 north of Casper will be reduced to one lane for maintenance work beginning this morning and continuing through June 27, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
Workers will begin chip-and-seal work between mileposts 189 and 210 about 6 a.m. daily. Only one lane will be closed at a time, allowing traffic to flow in both directions.
The affected section is between the I-25 intersection at Highway 20/26 (Shoshoni Bypass) and the Midwest exit (Highway 259). Travelers should anticipate delays and be aware of slowing traffic and construction workers.
Library board will decide on cost
The Natrona County Public Library Board of Trustees will make two important decisions at a meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday regarding the project to build a new library, according to a release.
Architects, consultants and a committee working on cost estimates for the new library project will present recommendations, after which the Board of Trustees will finalize the cost for a new library to be presented to voters this November. Ballot language to be used in proposing an expiring sixth-cent cent sales tax to finance the new library project also will be discussed.
The meeting will be held in the library's Crawford Room and is open to the public.

Loaf 'N Jug suspect changes plea
Gregory Allen Lockwood, 39, will have a change of plea hearing at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Lockwood previously pleaded not guilty for reasons of mental illness, but a doctor found him competent to participate in his own defense and understand the charges against him.
Police arrested Lockwood on Jan. 18 in an alley behind the Loaf 'N Jug at 12th and Beverly streets shortly after the store had been robbed. The Loaf 'N Jug in the 4300 block of South Poplar Street had been robbed minutes earlier.
