There is plenty to do in Casper this weekend, from pancakes and parades to walking and baseball.

A pancake breakfast welcoming participants and fans to the College National Finals Rodeo, as well as Shrine Bowl fans, will be served free from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., in front of the Casper Elks Lodge, Seventh and Center streets, facing City Park.

The annual Shrine Bowl parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m., and moves north from Ninth and Center streets to Fifth, and south on Wolcott back to Ninth.

The second annual Walk for the Parkway begins with registration at 7:30 a.m. at the Tate Pumphouse. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. with long and short courses available. Those raising a minimum of $100 are entered to win prizes and receive a free water bottle, snacks and beverages. A minimum donation of $25 is required to participate. An option of a short or long walk course is available.

The Wyoming Council of the Blind will hold its annual meeting in Casper for the first time at Highland Park Community Church. Entry is on the far east side, with registration and continental breakfast furnished by the Lions Club at 8:30 a.m.

The Kelly Walsh cheerleaders are holding a fundraiser car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the school's front circle drive.

The Casper Mountain Arbor Day tree planting is at 10 a.m. today. Follow the signs at the top of the mountain for the planting location. Bring gloves, a shovel and water containers for watering the trees.

Join knitters around the world for World Wide Knit in Public Day, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take your chair and knitting and relax around the garden at Dancing Sheep Yarn & Fiber, 122 E. Second St.

A Casper community fundraiser benefit for Marcy Shurter, will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the community room of the Wyoming National Apartments, 204 E. Second Street. The event includes a silent auction, door prizes, pig and poke, food, and music. Everyone is welcome.

"The Wager," a movie starring country music singer Randy Travis, will be shown free at 7 p.m., today at Faith Assembly of God, 4301 Casper Mountain Road.

Stage III presents two chances to see its season-ending production, two short comedies, at 7:30 tonight and in a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and available at the door one hour before each performance.

The Casper Ghosts and the Casper Hurricanes will play their annual exhibition game at 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by "Dinner on the Diamond" with live and silent auction items to benefit the Casper Hurricanes and Storm. There will be burgers, hot dogs, brats and your favorite beverage, along with music and games. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps performs its full show at NCHS Stadium at 7 p.m. Sunday. It is free and open to the public and is offered to thank the community for its support.
