The Eastridge Mall might be looking to expand to grande proportions.
Plans have been submitted to the City of Casper to build a 3,100 square ft. store at the north end of the mall. The application submitted to the city describes the space as a "small retail store," but the building plans list its two potential tenants.
One of them's Starbucks.
It's long been rumored that the world's largest coffee chain would dip into the Casper market, though nothing ever really percolated. Eastridge Mall general manager Angie McCann said she could not comment on incomplete negotiations with potential tenants.
Peter Meyers, an administrative analyst in the city manager's office, said that the two proposed businesses that would be located in the mall addition are Starbucks and Gamestop, a company that sells new and used video games.
The building plans are currently being reviewed by the Casper Planning and Zoning Commission.
