Museum organizes Arteducology symposium
Arteducology -- a sustainable symposium at the Nicolaysen Art Museum -- will explore how art and architecture can relate and inform ecology through education and advocacy.
The symposium, set for Oct. 29 and 30, will feature public presentations, panel discussions and exhibits by the Wyoming chapter of the American Institue of Architects, as well as other industry leaders. Both days of the event will also feature a Green Vendor Expo showcasing the newest in green technology.
Registration is $125 for Nic members and city, county or state officials; and $175 for non-members. The Nic will offer full conference scholarships to the first 20 Natrona County high school students who register.

United Blood Services holds blood drive
United Blood Services, a nonprofit community blood provider, will hold the Small Businesses' Big Hearts blood drive from Nov. 2 to 6, according to a media release.
United provides blood and blood products to local hospitals, and the drive is an opportunity to help the community's blood supply and help small businesses win free advertising.

Marriage Resource Center holds classes
The Marriage Resource Center will hold "Empowering Couples, Building on Your Strengths" classes in Casper from 6 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6 and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, according to a media release.
The class is designed to help couples build and strengthen their relationships through couple assessment, video clips, skill-building activities and small group discussions.
Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch will be provided. No child care is available, and a $10 per-family participant fee will be charged. Scholarships are available.

Rec Center hosts speed dating
The Casper Recreation Center will offer Six-Minute Singles, a speed-dating event for singles ages 21 and over, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 14, according to a media release.
By using a speed dating approach, participants will meet at least eight members of the opposite sex through a series of six-minute dates with others at the event.
Pre-registration is required; register by Nov. 6.
Registration fee is $10 for Rec Center members, and $15 for non-members. Minimum number of participants for event to be held is 10 male and 10 female.
