CC offers electronics class

The Casper College School of Business and Industry will offer a class on the design and construction of electronic circuits on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m., according to a media release.

Students in the class will learn about soldering, computer-generated schematics, computer-designed PC boards, industrial etching processes, and sheet and metal fabrication.

Registration is now taking place for the fall semester. To register or for more information, call the college at 268-2100.

Museum hosts jazz pianist

Tom McDermott, one of New Orleans' contemporary piano greats and cofounders of the award-winning brass band The Nightcrawlers, will perform solo on the grand piano at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the lobby of the Nicolaysen Art Museum and Discovery Center, according to a media release.

Tickets, which are $10, are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the artist. The performance is hosted by Dale Bohren and Susan Anderson, and sponsored by the Nic and Wyoming Blues and Jazz Society.

Aquatic Center holds family swim days

The Casper Family Aquatic Center will hold two half-price family swim days, according to a media release.

The half-price swims will take place from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 5 and from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 6. The cost is $2.75 per person, and all children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
