Police arrest teens found on roof
After hearing a commotion, Casper police officers found two teenage boys and broken air conditioning units on the roof of a downtown business Saturday night.
The boys, both 14, face charges of felony property destruction and minors in possession of alcohol, said Sgt. Mark Trimble. Police did not release their names because they are under 18 and are being charged as juveniles.
The incident began just after 11 p.m. when two officers on foot patrol heard noises coming from Atlas Reproduction on the 800 block of A Street. They called for backup and set up a perimeter around the building.
Once officers climbed up to the roof, they found the teenagers, who were trying to hide, Trimble said. Also found were broken air conditioning units, electrical wire and piping.
