Suspects schedule change of pleas
Two suspects in the August CY Liquors attempted robbery will appear later this month to change their pleas, according to court documents.
Benjamin Mark Bayne, 19, is suspected of going to the CY Liquors drive-through window, pointing a gun at the clerk and demanding money.
Nicolle Noel Rodabaugh, 22, is charged with acting as the getaway driver in the robbery.
Both Casper residents were scheduled to begin their trials in December.
Bayne will appear in Natrona County District Court on Tuesday to change his original plea of not guilty.
Rodabaugh is scheduled for a change of plea hearing on Jan. 21.
DUI suspect requests change of plea
A man suspected of driving while under the influence and seriously injuring another person asked for a change of plea hearing.
Jacob C. Butler, 24, was scheduled for a motions hearing on Dec. 23, but instead filed to change his plea.
He is charged with driving while under the influence, causing serious bodily injury and aggravated assault and battery. Both have penalties of up to 10 years in jail and $10,000 fines.
Butler has one prior DUI conviction and was out on bond for a second DUI at the time of the crash, said Assistant District Attorney Dan Itzen, during a court hearing in September.
Group plans north Casper meeting
The Winter Memorial Presbyterian Revitalization Committee and the Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church will hold an informational meeting for residents of north Casper at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a release.
The meeting will be held at Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church, 900 St. John in north Casper.
Participants will receive information regarding housing rehabilitation, energy assistance, and the city's weed and seed program.
Library plans winter break events
The Natrona County Public Library has several events scheduled for students and families over the holiday break, according to a release.
* Winter Wonders for Elementary Ages is a "Saturday Storytime" event that will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
* Tweens grades 4-6 can get creative with Duct Tape at 2 p.m. on Monday.
* A "School's Out!" movie will be shown at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. It is open to all elementary students and their families.
* At the Mills branch, a "Winter Wonders" craft projects will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
* And the "Anime Club" will beet in the Teen Zone on Tuesday.
