The College National Finals Rodeo is one of six finalists for a 2009 SportsTravel Award, according to a media release.

The CNFR is held in June in Casper. The category for the award, sponsored by Sports Travel magazine, is in the "best multi-sport or multi-discipline event at the collegiate level." The finalists were announced Monday in Los Angeles.

Fans may vote online by visiting vote.schneiderpublishing.com/ballot. The voting deadline is 6 p.m. on Sept. 14.

The other finalists include the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa; the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Johnson City, Tenn.; the NCAA Division II Winter National Championships Festival in Houston; the NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Buffalo, N.Y.; and the STIHL TimberSports Collegiate Challenge in Columbus, Ga.

The awards will be presented at the TEAMS 2009 Conference & Expo scheduled for Oct. 13-17 in New Orleans.
