Slipknot ticketholders should seek refunds

Ticketholders for the Slipknot concert in Casper, which was cancelled, are entitled to refunds on their tickets, according to a media release.

Tickets purchased by cash or check must be returned to the Events Center box office, where ticket buyers will need to present ID and sign a form. Checks will be mailed for refunds. There will be no cash refunds.

Call the box office at (307) 577-3030 or 800-442-2256 if a refund is needed by mail.

Refunds are available now through Nov. 1.

Fort Caspar hosts ghost hunters

Fort Caspar Museum, in conjunction with the Paranormal Research Society of Casper, will host events for the October ghost season on Oct. 23 and 24, according to a media release.

On Oct. 23, stop by between 7 and 9 p.m. for a "Paranormal Roadshow." Bring stories, photos or other evidence to share and learn about paranormal experiences in Casper and throughout Wyoming. The program is free, but participants should RSVP with the Casper Paranormal Research Society at www.paranormalresearchsocietyofcasper.org.

Ghost Tours are scheduled on Oct. 24. Visit the Sutler's Store and barracks, and learn more about paranormal equipment in the Multi-Use Room at Fort Caspar Museum. Tickets are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Oct. 13 at the museum. Tour tickets are $3 each for ghost hunters of all ages, but are recommended for ages 10 and up. Ten spaces are available for each tour.

Tours are approximately one hour and start every 20 minutes from 7 p.m. until 10:40 p.m.

Dean Morgan holds parent-teacher conferences

Dean Morgan will hold its parent-teacher conferences from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, according to a media release.

An information table will be located in the lower cross halls by the cafeteria and gym, providing directions and student report cards.

Street parking is available surrounding the school. There will be limited parking in the parking lot on the north side of the building, off of 14th Street, and in the teacher's parking lot. There also is limited parking between the football fields on Spruce Street on the west side of the building.

Aquatic Center hosts "Late Night"

Students in grades eight through 12 are invited to attend "Late Night" at the Casper Family Aquatic Center from 8 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 23, according to a media release.

Admission is free, as is soda and pizza. Music and door prizes will be provided throughout the event. Participants need to bring swimwear to partake in the water events.

Students should bring their school identification cards to the event, which is sponsored by the Central Casper Weed & Seed Program.
