Immunization clinics scheduled

Casper-Natrona County will hold two walk-in immunization clinics for all children 18 and under Tuesday, July 14 and Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the clinic at 475 S. Spruce St., according to a media release.

A parent or legal guardian must be present and bring a copy of the child's immunization record.

All routine vaccinations cost $12.

Nic holds Wednesday Night Live

The Nicolaysen Art Museum & Discovery Center will kick off Wednesday Night Live its live, 8-week summer concert series on July 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with Casper's own Dan & Cliffy, according to a media release.

This acoustic-guitar duo has been a hit for the NIC at Noon series, playing familiar oldies from the 1950s, '60s and '70s in a fun and family-friendly show.

Wednesday Night Live concerts, which are staged just behind the museum, are free and listeners are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets so they can relax while enjoying a variety of music. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase from local vendors.

Students can earn money, learn

Room is still available in summer Youth Build, welding and certified nursing assistant classes through a grant provided to the Natrona County School District by the Casper Workforce Center, according to a media release.

Students taking these classes will earn $8.43 per hour, while learning and earning school credit.

The second summer sessions for Youth Build and welding will be held July 13 to 31. Students attending these classes also will attend OSHA and McMurry's Tools for Success training, located at the McMurry Training Center, 2220 N. Bryan Stock Trail.

CNA training will be held at Casper College from Aug. 3 to 16. CPR training is a prerequisite, and will be held July 11 at the school district's Central Services Facility, 970 N. Glenn Rd. The grant will pay for the CPR training, tuition, books, supplies and CNA testing.

Students will need to meet certain guidelines to be eligible to attend these courses. For more information and to sign up, contact Theresa Fountain at 253-4308.
