Police bust drug house
Casper Police arrested four people on suspicion of drug possession and child endangerment after finding suspected drugs and paraphernalia at a Casper house on Monday.
Police reported to a house in the 100 block of East J Street after a concerned citizen was worried about the welfare of children living in an apartment. When police went inside, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the rooms. The three children who live at the home were at school at the time.
Police found several containers of marijuana and baggies of suspected methamphetamine, as well as syringes, scales, spoons and baggies. They also found several metal pipes inside a "SpongeBob" tin box and marijuana residue inside a "Molly" tin box.
Marie C. Veeder, 51, and Misty M. Croley, 28, were arrested and charged with endangering a child with methamphetamine in the residence. Kenneth Lee Dalton, 29, was arrested and charged with endangering a child with meth in the residence, as well as a third offense for possession of meth and marijuana. A warrant was out for Jason Edward Veeder, 36, who was not home at the time.
Police took the children into protective custody to be placed with the Department of Family Services and Metro Animal Control and Welfare was called to take a small dog and an illegal ball python snake.
Thieves steal hearse
A 1963 black Cadillac hearse was stolen from the junkyard at the Natrona County International Airport recently, according to a report from the Natrona County Sheriff's Office.
The hearse had spider webs painted on its window and was valued at $7,500. It was reported stolen sometime between Oct. 21 and 28.
Casper man gets stuck, gets ticket
A 20-year-old man who went out driving Tuesday night on Casper Mountain had to call police for help once he got his vehicle stuck in the snow.
When officials from the Natrona County Sheriff's Office found Kye Dunbar just after midnight Wednesday, he appeared drunk. Sheriff's officers found several empty beer bottles in Dunbar's vehicle.
He took a sobriety test and blew a .08, qualifying as legally intoxicated. Dunbar was arrested on suspicion of being a minor in possession and for having a suspended driver's license.
