The field has been narrowed to three options for a future high school configuration in the Natrona County School District.

The Path to 2025 visioning committee discussed 12 models for the configuration, which ranged from three comprehensive high schools to two high schools with a third site for arts and career and technology courses. The Path to 2025 committee plans to present three models and their pros and cons to the school board of trustees for discussion during its work session tonight.

"This is really the first time they've seen the conversation," Julia Collier Earl, the coordinator for Path to 2025, said. "The models have morphed and changed and been edited."

Meetings will be held in December for community input and the committee plans to give a final recommendation to the board in January.

During the regular meeting of the board, members will hear a proposed anti-bullying policy. All school districts in Wyoming are required to adopt an anti-bullying policy by the end of the year. The policy includes harassment using electronic devices, called cyberbullying and has jurisdiction in classrooms, on school grounds and on buses. The policy encourages parents and students to discuss the issue with school staff members but allows them to anonymously report incidents.

The board also plans to discuss resolutions proposed by the Wyoming School Boards Association. The WSBA will vote to endorse resolutions during its conference Nov. 18-20. Among those resolutions is one to repeal the state body of evidence requirements because reporting takes up instructional time. Two of the resolutions aim to keep kids in school longer. All proposed resolutions are targeted for the 2011 legislative session.

The work session begins at 6 p.m. and the regular session of the board meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Tonight's meeting will be held at the Central Services Facility, 970 N. Glenn Road.

Board packets are available online at natronaschools.org, under the tab labeled "Board."
