Woman accused of shoplifting, child endangerment

Police Friday arrested a Natrona County woman suspected of shoplifting, child endangerment and marijuana possession.

Amy Marie Berry, along with two boys ages 17 and 14, are accused of shoplifting $31.49 worth of merchandise at the east side Wal-Mart, according to a police affidavit.

A Wal-Mart security employee told police he saw the three of them taking merchandise, passing it around, and concealing it in their clothing, the affidavit stated. Berry also put items in her purse, the security employee said.

Before being stopped, the three walked past the registers and toward the front door without paying for the items. The boys were cited for shoplifting, and when the officer learned that one was 14, Berry was arrested.

At the Natrona County Detention Center, the officer found marijuana in a metal box inside Berry's purse, the affidavit said.

Information sought in vehicle break-ins

Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who were seen breaking into two cars earlier this month.

The men broke into one vehicle on the 1700 block of East 21st Street and the other on the 2300 block of East 18th Street sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. on August 1, police said. They were seen leaving in a small, red car - possibly with a primer-colored hatchback.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers tip line at (307) 577-8477. Calls will remain anonymous and may earn a reward of up to $1,000.
