Bounty Hunter, Martial Law, Public Disturbance and many other monster trucks jump into action tonight, as the Casper Events Center hosts the Monster Truck Winter Nationals.

The event will also include BBR ArenaCross where motorcycle racers will launch off huge jumps. Big money and trophies should bring ArenaCross racers from all over the state, South Dakota and Colorado to compete on Casper's track.

This is the second time this year the Bad Boys of Racing have brought the Monster Truck Nationals to Casper.

Adult ticket prices are $19 for general admission and $27 for reserved and children ages 2 to 12 ticket prices are $10 and $17. Other fees may apply.

Celebrate America Recycles Day with free paper shredding at the City of Casper Balefill, 1866 N. Station Road, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.

A Thru Z Document Destruction, Inc. will be temporarily parked at the balefill for your disposal convenience. The company urges people to bring their old bank statements, pay stubs, tax records, medical bills, credit card bills and other legal papers to be shredded.

Documents are shredded while you wait then baled and sent directly to the recycler.

Each individual is limited to 200 pounds or four copy paper size boxes.

Show off your swing, two-step, waltz and jitterbug dance moves to Casper's five-piece band, "Swing Sounds."

The band will play tonight at the Casper Senior Center from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. They will play every Saturday night at the center through Dec. 20.

The band plays a variety of music including western, pop swing, a touch of 50s rock n' roll, as well as traditional favorites.

Admission is $4 per person and $25 of total admissions will be donated to the senior center. The center is located at 1831 E. Fourth St.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wyoming hosts it sixth annual "Stories of Light" dinner, wine tasting and auction event tonight from 6 to 10.

The event kicks off the "Stories of Light" radio campaign.

The wine tasting features a large variety of wines from Poplar Wine and Spirits and a gourmet dinner will be enjoyed by all. The auction features artwork, vacations and a hot air balloon ride.

The nonprofit foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Two craft fairs run this weekend at St. Anthony's Tri-Parish School Gym and the Casper Recreation Center.

The Casper group of Pax Christi is sponsoring a fair trade holiday bazaar at St. Anthony's, 218 E. Seventh St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. The bazaar features beautiful handcrafts made by disadvantaged artisans and farmers in developing regions of the world.

The sale of these gifts including jewelry, toys, coffee and more, enables the artisans and farmers to earn income and build better lives. For information, call Joan at (307) 472-3720.

The Casper Recreation Center at 1801 E. Fourth St. hosts its 16th annual Craft Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. The craft fair features more than 100 booths offering a wide variety of crafts from pottery to hand-sewn crafts to jewelry. New this year are 20 booths that will be next door at the Casper Senior Center.

Anyone needing a warm winter coat, gloves or boots may visit the Salvation Army Hope Center, 441 S. Center, where they will be distributed from 10 a.m. to noon today and from 3 to 5 p.m. every Thursday as part of the 19th annual Coats For Kids campaign.

The campaign is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Casper and other organizations.

People wanting to help the program may take their new or used coats, gloves and boots to any Natrona County school or Western Vista Credit Union, the Casper College Saunders Health Science Center or Next Generation Learning Center through Friday.

They do ask that coats be in good repair.The coats are transported to the Wyoming Medical Center where they are cleaned before being taken to the Salvation Army Hope Center.

Distribution continues every Thursday and Saturday until Dec. 6.
