Recycling depot moves to Denis Drive
Officials from the city relocated one of their community recycling depots to Denis Drive near the Shell gas station, according to a media release. The depot, one of nine in the community, was moved from the Farnham's Furniture parking lot in Mountain Plaza to ease traffic congestion.
All depots have bins for corrugated cardboard, newspaper, office pack, magazines and catalogs, glass, and aluminum cans.
"We believe that the new location will be more convenient and safer for citizens," said Cindie Langston, solid waste division manager, in the release.Dennis Drive can be accessed from either CY Avenue or from Wyoming Boulevard.

Black 14 book's author hosts signing
Ryan Thorburn, a Natrona County High School graduate and former Casper Star-Tribune reporter, will be signing his book, "Black 14: The Rise, Fall and Rebirth of Wyoming Football," from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Wind City Books, 152 S. Center.
Thorburn graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in journalism and has worked at the Boulder Camera since 2000 covering the Denver Broncos.
College alumni meet in Thermopolis
The Casper College Alumni Association will host a gathering for friends and graduates of the college at Thermopolis' VFW Club from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday in conjunction with the town's Pageant Days, according to a media release.
Free hors d'oeuvres, lemonade, iced tea, and a cash bar will be available at the college's event
