NCSD changes prefix to 253

The Natrona County School District has been granted its own prefix from the Public Service Commission and is in the process of changing over fax numbers and direct classroom and office phone numbers, according to a release.

Main school office numbers, as well as the main Central Services Facility reception desk phone number, will remain the same. Any lines that do change numbers will be set up with an "intercept" message, meaning that callers who dial the old number will be notified that the number has changed and will be given the new number.

The changeover to the 253 prefix will allow increased efficiency in the district, room for expansion, and better coordination with emergency services, according to the district.
