There are lots of activities set for this weekend, today in particular, in and around the Casper area. Many of those are planned for outdoors, however, and you may want to call ahead to be sure they are still taking place.
If the soggy conditions prevent some events from taking place, there is plenty to do indoors as well.

Whether you support efforts to combat Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson's disease, planners have organized outdoor walks today. And the walks are timed so that you can do both.
The MS Walk begins at 9 a.m., at Morad Park. For information, call 433-9559. A beautiful quilt is being raffled with the drawing to be held at the walk. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. For raffle tickets, call 235-1629.
Join the Casper community for a walk in commemoration of Parkinson's awareness month, beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the Casper Family YMCA. Register at the YMCA. Registration is $10 and includes a T-shirt, snacks after the race and a ticket for door prizes.
The Glenrock downtown development program is sponsoring a spring super flea market/craft fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, in the gymnasium of the Rec Center (the former elementary school) on S. Fourth St. Balloons will mark the location. More than 20 vendors will be present to sell items ranging from coins, knickknacks and jewelry to baked goods, handcrafted items and autographed copies of "Eatin' with Sal." Doughnuts and a hot dog lunch will be available for purchase to benefit area youth groups.
In conjunction with Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup, Keep Casper Beautiful and the Keepers of the Creek will hold a park cleanup at Nancy English Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteer registration will be at 23rd and Odell at the south end of Nancy English Park. For further information, call Beth Andress at 235-7562.
Mike Abel has been selected as the new director for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC). The public is invited to meet Abel at an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. at the NHTIC. Admission will be free during the open house.
Manor Heights will host the third annual Family Fitness Day from 9 to 11 a.m. The event most likely will be held in the gymnasium, due to unstable spring weather. If you have any questions, contact Jill Weibel at 577-4545.
Everyone, regardless of age or experience, is invited to participate in the ServeWyoming Natrona County Volunteer Fair 2009, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Casper College's Administration Building Gymnasium. There will be upwards of 50 area organizations to speak with about volunteering. ServeWyoming is a nonprofit organization whose mission focuses on the enhancement of community and the empowerment of citizens through the development and promotion of service opportunities.
The registration deadline is today for the 2009 Softball Leagues. Registration packets are available at the Casper Recreation Center, 1801 East Fourth Street. Team fee, a minimum of 10 player's fees, and the $100 umpire fee must be paid with registration.
Children attending the library's Bilingual Storytime at 10:30 a.m. will have an opportunity to meet and take pictures with Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Bilingual Storytime includes stories in Spanish and English, and is helpful both for Spanish-speakers and those learning Spanish in school. For more information, call 577-READ ext. 122.
Have you ever wondered how to create cool pictures on your computer? Boys and their fathers, grandpas, uncles and other male role models have a chance to learn how to create and improve images during a "No Girls Allowed" event at 2 p.m. at the Natrona County Library.
The Ogre's Den in Sunrise Shopping Center is hosting a Swap Meet/ Game Trade Show at 10 a.m. with train and game vendors out in the halls. Take your unwanted trains and games and see what deals you can make.
The Casper Children's Theatre will hold summer class registration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., at the theatre in the Commissary Mall (138 S. Kimball). For more information, call 473-8470.
Local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will demonstrate their skills in the River Bend District's Scout-o-Rama and Pinewood Derby from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Industrial Building. Scout units from throughout the area will have booths featuring demonstrations of crafts, cooking, games, physical fitness, science and various other Scout skills.
Indulge your inner sweet tooth with the Annual Champagne & Chocolates Benefit. Attend the Montessori School of Casper's 10th Annual Champagne & Chocolates Fundraiser at 5:30 p.m at the Elks lodge. For $40 per person, you will enjoy complimentary champagne, chocolates, hors d'oeuvres, and music. Tickets are available at Grant Street Grocery.
On Sunday, the Casper Youth Orchestra performs its final concert of the season at 3 p.m., in the auditorium of Kelly Walsh High School. Tickets may be purchased at the doors, which open at 2:30 p.m. CYO is also participating in the national Orchestras Feeding America project and will hold a food drive from 1 to 3 p.m. to benefit the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies.
Three Casper College sophomores will be in a vocal concert at 2 p.m. Sunday in Durham Hall in the Aley Fine Arts Center. The recital is free and open to all.
Soprano Jessica Brooks, sophomore music performance (vocal) major from Gillette, Branden Martinez, a baritone from Worland, and Anna Milburn, a sophomore music performance (vocal) major from Helena, Mont., will sing solos. The recital will conclude with the three performing a large and famous scene from Mozart's 'The Marriage of Figaro."
The Wyoming Blues and Jazz Society invites all musicians and music fans to its monthly Jam Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., in All That Jazz at the Parkway Plaza. Anyone is welcome to play and/or join the organization. The host band for the Jam is Rock-n-Roll Susie.
Well-known Casper watercolor artist Anniedean Creel is the featured artist for April at the Westwind Art Gallery. A reception honoring her will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sunday at the gallery, 1040 W. 15th St.
The show is available for viewing Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., as well as at the reception. There is no admission fee.
