A man and a boy were injured when a personal watercraft collided with a speedboat on Alcova Reservoir on Saturday afternoon.
One person was flown to Wyoming Medical Center and the other was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance, according to Natrona County Sheriff's Lt. Stewart Anderson. An update on their conditions was not immediately available, nor was the circumstances of the crash.
Both of the injured, a man and a boy, were on a Yamaha personal watercraft and were wearing life jackets, according to Anderson. He added that nobody on the boat was injured.
Officials were continuing their investigation of the accident Saturday evening, and no arrests had been made, according to Anderson.
The crash apparently happened in the Oakie Beach region of the reservoir and was the first major accident of the summer at the lake, according to Game and Fish Warden Shawn Blajszczak.
He didn't specify how many people were involved in the incident.
Neither the boat, a catamaran speedboat, nor the personal watercraft sunk after the crash.
The dual-engine boat, bright yellow with green and orange decals, had a gash in its bow.
