As the last weekend of January dawns without any football for the first time since August, central Wyomingites have plenty of activities to keep them busy.
Whether it's a foot race, ice skating indoors, or wearing jeans to the symphony, there is something for every taste.
Wind City Striders host Race No. 2 of the Winter Series, a 5-kilometer jaunt beginning and ending at LifeTime Health and Fitness, 3000 Landmark Dr. Registration, starts at 8 a.m. Fees are $8 for members, $10 for nonmembers, and $6 for students. For more information, call 577:4974.

The Natrona County Public Library, in conjunction with Natrona County School District Title 3, presents a bilingual storytime with stories, songs, poems and more in Spanish and English at 10:30 a.m. This activity will be great for children who are learning Spanish, as well as native Spanish speakers. The Wyoming Symphony Orchestra is presenting its "Denim and Dvorak...Wear Your Jeans to the Symphony" concert at 7:30 p.m. at the John F. Welsh Auditorium at NCHS. Guest conductor is Laura Jackson.

The 15th annual fund-raising banquet and auction for Casper Friends of the NRA is at the Parkway Plaza Hotel.
Social hour starts at 5:30 p.m.; dinner at 7 p.m. with a live auction to follow. There will be an enjoyable evening of games, raffles, and both silent and live auctions.
Adult tickets are $40 per person and kids 16 and under are $20.

Casper Elks Lodge hosts a pancake breakfast open to the public Sunday from 8 to 11 a.m. The all-you-can-eat meal is just $5 with children 12 and under free.
On Sunday, the Casper Ice Arena's public skating from 1 to 3 p.m., will be themed, "Sports Team Sunday." Sports-related music will be played for the entire session. Everyone coming into the rink wearing their favorite sports team shirt or jersey will be admitted for the discounted rate of $2. Regular admission is $3 per person.
